The Wayne State College men's cross country team finished 11
th out of 25 teams with a team score of 340 Friday evening at the season-opening Augustana Twilight Invitational held in Sioux Falls at Yankton Trails Park.
South Dakota State was the men's team champion with a perfect team score of 15 followed by Augustana in second at 63. Minnesota State was third at 108 with Concordia (Neb.) at 168 and Doane with 177 points filling out the top five teams.
Wayne State's top four runners were within eight seconds of each other as junior
Brady Franzen was the first Wildcat to cross the finish line on the four-mile course with a time of 20:24.95 to finish 92
nd out of a field of 394 runners. Right behind was senior
