Mark Schuck Open and Multi Final Results
The Wayne State College men's indoor track and field team had four event wins on their way to a second place finish at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi Meet held Friday and Saturday in Mankato, Minnesota. The Wildcats scored 99 points in the meet, trailing only host Minnesota State who won the men's team title with 243 points.
Augustana and Concordia-St. Paul tied for third with 73 points while Sioux Falls finished fifth at 68 points out of 14 teams in the meet.
Pierce sophomore
Logan Moeller was a double winner once again taking first place in the long jump and triple jump. His winning mark in the long jump was 23' 8 ¼" followed by a 47' 5 ¾" mark to win the triple jump.
Wakefield junior Gabe Peitz collected an event win taking first in the 800-meter run at 1:59.01.
The final event win came from the distance medley relay team of
Brandon Mundorf,
Austin Madsen, Peitz and
Quentin Dreyer on the anchor leg with a winning time of 10:17.12.
Wisner-Pilger junior
Dylan Kneifl recorded a second place finish in the high jump clearing 6' 8 ¾" to go with a third place finish in the long jump at 21' 10".
The Wildcat 4 x 400 meter relay team of
Alex Leuenberger,
Mitchell Rudie, Madsen and
Edgar Rodriguez earned a third place finish at 3:29.57.
In the decathlon, junior
Debonaire Williams was fifth at 4,625 points with sophomore
Alex Brandt next in sixth place with 4,526 points.
Braden Johnson took a fourth place finish in the long jump at 21' 4 ¼", freshman
Jordan Porter was fifth in the 60-meter dash finals in 7.02 seconds and
Grant Fritsch came in fifth in the weight throw at 57' 7 ¾".
Will McGonigal placed fifth in the 3,000-meter run in 8:55.02 and
Titus Kiptoo was fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:37.65.
Seventh place finishes were recorded by
Drake Peed in the shot put (49' 8 ½") and
Caid McCart in the 60-meter dash finals at 7.16 seconds.
Cody Rogers was eighth in the triple jump (44' 8 ¼"),
Wyatt Sindelar came in eighth in the weight throw at 53' 10 ½",
Keaton Wattier was eighth in the 60-meter hurdle finals (8.64), freshman
Mitchell Rudie was eighth in the 400-meter dash (52.79) and
Abe Schroeder placed eighth in the 5,000-meter run in 15:57.58.
Wayne State will compete Friday afternoon and evening at the Concordia Invite in Seward (February 3).
