1991 WSC Volleyball Team

The 1991 Wayne State College volleyball team was 31-10, setting a then school record for wins in a season, in Wayne State's first season as an NCAA Division II school competing as an independent.  Known as one of the most powerful hitting and blocking teams in school history, the 1991 squad still holds school records for solo blocks in a season (685) and total blocks (1,324).

The team featured such players as Shelly Lueders, who was AVCA NCAA Division II All-North Central Region and honorable mention All-American, along with Tracy Kuester and Kristi Jaminet.  The trio were featured as the top three blockers in school history.

The 1991 WSC volleyball team was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame on September 29, 2007.
