Greg Walker 

 

Greg Walker was the leading receiver on the Wayne State College football team for three straight seasons during his four-year career from 1967-70 with the Wildcats.  He was Wayne State's top receiver with 20 catches for 363 yards and was the team's leading scorer with eight touchdowns on the 1970 team that went 7-3 and qualified for the Mineral Water Bowl, the first team in school history to reach post season play in football.

The Omaha Westside graduate finished his Wildcat career averaging 14.8 yards per catch.  Walker also competed in swimming at Wayne State and was a conference champion in the 100 yard butterfly in the 1969-70 season.

Walker was inducted into the WSC Athletic Hall of Fame on September 25, 2010.  At the time of his induction, Walker resided in Tuscon, Arizona where he worked in design/sales at Valley Oasis Pools and was a partner and coach with Cross Fit in Tuscon.
