Ron Coles
Ron Coles was a standout football lineman and wrestler at Wayne State from 1970-1973. A graduate of Marshall High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, Coles was a three-time letter winner in football and was a two-time NAIA All-American in wrestling. He was a starting offensive lineman as a sophomore then moved to starting defensive tackle as a junior and senior earning NAIA Honorable Mention All-District 11 honors his last two seasons. In wrestling Coles placed third at heavyweight in 1972 and was sixth in 1974. Coles currently resides in Columbus, Nebraska.

Coles was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame in the fall of 2012.
